Overview

The council as part of its Leisure Strategy is looking at the future of Old Trafford Sports Barn. Following a review process and to help safeguard the asset for future generations the council has made the decision to invite organisation to apply to take ownership of the facility through a Community Asset Transfer.

The council has developed a process to enable it to identify the best potential applicant for a Community Assets Transfer. The process includes submitting a business case that will be reviewed by council officers. The process is weighted to emphasise community involvement, engagement and financial sustainability.
