Supported Housing Strategy Consultation

Overview

At Trafford Council, we know that having the right home can have a big impact on your quality of life and that maintaining independence is important to everyone, especially if you have support needs. With that in mind, we have developed the Draft Supported Housing Strategy 2022-2027.

Supported accommodation is a type of housing that is provided alongside support, supervision, or care to help people live as independently as possible within the community.  

The aim of the Draft Supported Housing Strategy is to deliver an integrated approach to supported housing within the borough, with a focus on ensuring the right level of supported accommodation, and housing related support, is in place to promote independence. To achieve this aim, the Draft Strategy identifies the Council’s vision along with five priorities and their associated recommendations.

This consultation is open to everyone. Trafford Council are keen to hear from a wide range of interested parties and residents.
