CIL Questions

1. What should the local/neighbourhood CIL be spent on?

Please rank in order of preference the following types of open space, sport and recreation infrastructure you believe should receive CIL funding, with 1 being your most preferred and 9 being your least preferred.

1. Public parks and gardens including maintenance and management e.g. planting, lighting, seating, footpaths etc.

2. Natural and semi-natural green and blue spaces e.g. nature reserves, woodlands, meadows, wetlands, lakes and ponds

3. Playground equipment and areas of play for children and sheltered areas for teenagers etc.

4. Outdoor sport courts e.g. tennis, basketball, skate parks, bowls etc.

5. Outdoor sports pitches e.g. football, cricket, rugby, lacrosse etc.

6. Swimming pools at Trafford Leisure centres

7. Indoor sport facilities e.g. leisure centres, gyms and sports courts etc.

8. Outdoor recreation routes e.g. cycling and walking routes and public rights of way

9. Recreation grounds e.g. informal green, play and recreation spaces

2. Where would you like to see the CIL money being spent?

Please note that the consultation is not a referendum on where the local/ neighbourhood portion of CIL will be allocated and spent. There is a legal duty on the Council to balance neighbourhood wishes with wider requirements to ensure growth and relieve the cumulative impacts from developments, in a managed way.
